Technician Training & RVTI Certification
Over the past three years, over 700 technicians have earned RVTI certifications with us — including more than 26 Level 4 Master Certified techs. In 2025 alone, over 150 Level 1 and 2 certifications and 70+ Level 3 specialty certifications have already been completed.
We cover the cost of all RVTI certifications for our apprentices and technicians and offer robust training, including daily live virtual sessions, vendor- and OEM-led workshops, and fully funded in-person training at our three state-of-the-art facilities. Each year, over 100 technicians participate in hands-on learning.
Over 200 technicians have become certified Blue Compass Mentors, and more than 175 apprentices have graduated from our Apprenticeship Program. Embark on a rewarding journey with Blue Compass RV today!
Apprentice Program
Our 12-week Apprentice Program combines hands-on learning, virtual sessions, and classroom instruction—guided by a Certified Mentor and our National Training Team. You’ll gain the skills and experience needed to start your career as a Blue Compass RV Technician.
Phase 1 (8 Weeks): Shadow & Learn
Spend 6 weeks shadowing a mentor, followed by 2 weeks rotating with other techs. You’ll build foundational skills through daily tasks, tracked progress, and virtual team sessions.
Phase 2 (4 Weeks): Work with Support
Take on jobs independently with support from your mentor and team leader. You'll continue attending trainings and weekly check-ins while growing toward full efficiency.
Mentor Program
Our mentors are top technicians and service managers trained in coaching and technical instruction. They support apprentices in mastering essential RV technician skills and embodying Blue Compass RV values.
Technician Levels
Level 1: RV Inspection & Delivery (PDI)
Covers core systems—propane, electric, plumbing, appliances, chassis—to prep RVs for customer delivery.
Level 2: Diagnostics & Repair
Builds on Level 1 with troubleshooting and basic repair across all major RV systems.
Level 3: Specialty Certification
Advanced training in one of five specialties:

Electrical: Solar, batteries, transfer switches

Chassis: Leveling, brakes, steps

Electronics: Satellite, CAN systems

Appliances: HVAC, water heaters, refrigerators

Slideouts: All major slide-out systems
Level 4: Master Technician
Complete all five specialties and demonstrate expert proficiency across seven core systems.
